Friends of The Bruce R. Watkins Center 

A “dream” was fulfilled when the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural heritage Center was dedicated in December 1989. Since then, attention has turned to establishing the center is one of the Midwest’s premier cultural facilities. As the center grows, individual membership confirmation will play an important role securing it’s future.

We are inviting you to join the continuance of the dream becoming a Friend of the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center. Friends of the Center contributions will enable the center to promote local artists, acquire great art and major exhibits, expand educational programs, and involve our community in outreach programs. With your help, the center will achieve its mission in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Membership Programs

In return for your support, we offer important membership benefits. Friends of the Bruce R. Watkins Center will receive special recognition during the center’s biannual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Through the “Monthly Calendar of Events” you will be kept up-to-date on all center activities, including advanced notice the film series, classes and musical events. Friends may also enroll themselves and their children in visual and performing arts classes at reduced rates. In the gift shop, your membership discount means reduced prices on the purchase of beautiful prints, posters, notecards and souvenirs.
